SUMMARY:
Are you fit and healthy to pick and pack orders, accurately complete waybills and work well in a team?

Our client in Cape Town CBD needs a detail-oriented Dispatch Clerk to ensure all relevant paperwork is completed accurately and promptly.

Experience working on a computer programme for logistics/courier service is essential.

REQUIREMENTS

Matric
Relevant work experience
Excellent communication skills
Strong administrative skills
Computer Literate – Word, Excel, Outlook
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

DUTIES

Managing and coordinating shipping and receiving procedures, ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed accurately and promptly
Organizing and scheduling shipments and deliveries, using dispatching software or other logistical methods
Communicating with drivers, customers, and vendors to resolve delivery issues or discrepancies
Tracking and monitoring shipment progress, and updating systems and parties involved with any changes or delays
Inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments to verify the quantity and quality of goods, ensuring alignment with order specifications.
Working closely with warehouse staff to manage inventory and facilitate the loading and unloading of goods.
Maintaining records of all dispatches, invoices, and shipments to ensure effective tracking and documentation.
Providing excellent customer service by handling inquiries, complaints, and providing information regarding delivery times and shipping procedures.
Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements in all dispatch operations.

Salary: Depending on experience
