SUMMARY:
Pioneering Excellence | Director of Audit Opportunity: We are working with a leading Pan-African bank in Kenya to recruit a highly skilled and results-oriented Director of Audit to oversee and lead their internal audit function.

POSITION INFO:
In this critical leadership role, the successful candidate will design and implement a robust audit strategy aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Develop and implement a risk-based audit plan aligned with business goals and regulations.
Lead audits focused on governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC).
Oversee operational, financial, and compliance audits, ensuring timely and effective reporting.
Ensure compliance with local and international standards (e.g., IFRS, SOX, Basel).

Who You Are & What You Bring:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Professional certification (CIA, CPA, ACCA, CISA, etc.).
10+ years of audit experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role (preferably in banking).
Strong knowledge of audit frameworks, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
Proven leadership with excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
