Digital Marketing Assistant

SUMMARY:
A prestigious brand in fragrances, cosmetics, and personal care is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Digital Marketing Assistant to join its innovative Marketing team. This role is based in Pinetown.

The successful candidate will focus on creating and/or editing print and digital artwork, digital content updates, social media scheduling, and basic photography, contributing to the overall growth of digital presence.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
Digital Content Management:

• Edit and update website content (e.g. product descriptions, banners, images) to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Assist in uploading and managing content across digital platforms.

• Schedule, post, and monitor content across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
• Assist in creating and curating content that aligns with the brand's voice and objectives.

• Take high-quality photos of products, in-store displays, and events for use on digital platforms.
• Assist with filming content for our social media platforms
• Create artwork for print
• Create / edit artwork for digital use
• Creating reels and videos for social media that are engaging for our audience, and on-brand
• Assist with basic video editing in formats that engage social media audiences, capturing the personality of our brand (especially for Tik Tok)
• Design and execute targeted email marketing campaigns

• Work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to execute campaigns and promotions
• Provide input into creative strategies and concepts

• Stay updated on trends in digital marketing and social media to bring fresh ideas to the team

• Matric
• Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Digital media, or a related field
• Minimum 2 -3 years’ working experience in a similar role
• Graphic Design: Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Photoshop and Illustrator) and Canva
• Proficiency with Shopify
• Knowledge of Email Marketing Software (especially Klaviyo)
• Proficiency with social media platforms (Meta Business Suite, YouTube, Tik Tok)
• Experience managing social media and creating content
• Strong portfolio
• Familiar with video editing software
• Attention to detail
• Thrives working in a fast-paced environment
• Highly Organised and a good communicator
