Product Manager
POSITION INFO:
JOB PURPOSE:
The Parenteral Nutrition Product Manager is responsible for the strategic development, management, and marketing of parenteral nutrition (PN) products. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with R&D, regulatory, sales, and marketing teams to ensure that PN products meet the needs of healthcare providers and patients while adhering to regulatory standards and driving business growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product Strategy & Development:
- Develop and implement product strategies and roadmaps for Parenteral Nutrition products.
- Work closely with R&D and clinical teams to drive product development from concept to commercialization.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify new product opportunities.
- Define product requirements based on customer feedback, market research, and healthcare provider insights.
Product Lifecycle Management:
- Lead the entire product lifecycle, from product inception through launch, growth, maturity, and eventual phase-out.
- Collaborate with regulatory teams to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., FDA, EMA) and track product approvals.
- Conduct regular product reviews to evaluate market performance and propose necessary adjustments.
Market Analysis & Insights:
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product positioning and messaging.
- Gather insights from clinicians, nutritionists, and key stakeholders to improve products and services.
- Analyse sales data, customer feedback, and healthcare trends to optimize product offerings.
Sales & Marketing Support:
- Develop and execute marketing strategies for PN products, including product launches, promotions, and education campaigns.
- Work with the sales team to provide training materials, product demonstrations, and clinical support.
- Coordinate the creation of marketing content, including brochures, websites, and presentations for healthcare professionals.
Regulatory & Compliance Management:
- Ensure all Parenteral Nutrition products are compliant with local and international regulatory standards.
- Work closely with regulatory affairs teams to prepare for and manage product approvals and inspections.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of product specifications, labelling, and packaging.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, nutrition experts, and regulatory bodies.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, workshops, and symposia related to parenteral nutrition and clinical nutrition.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Dietetics, Nursing or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, with at least 2-3 years focused on medical nutrition or parenteral nutrition products.
- Strong understanding of the parenteral nutrition market, including the regulatory landscape and clinical requirements.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams (R&D, sales, regulatory, clinical, etc.) and managing the product lifecycle.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing complex healthcare products.
Skills:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in conducting market research and competitive analysis.
- Knowledge of product marketing strategies, branding, and customer engagement in the healthcare sector.
Certifications:
- Certification in Product Management or Marketing is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in medical nutrition or healthcare management preferred.
