SUMMARY:
A major Fintech client is seeking a Development Team Manager to lead a team of Software Developers! This individual should have what it takes to drive optimization of a technical team.

CPT | Stellenbosch | Permanent | Onsite | R60k - R75k pm

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

Leading and managing a team of developers, including performance reviews and career development
Overseeing resource allocation, workload balancing, and onboarding/offboarding
Managing developer recruitment in collaboration with Senior Developers and HR
Ensuring effective communication with project managers and stakeholders
Providing technical expertise to support and uphold work estimation and delivery commitments
Supervising code reviews, testing, and Agile processes
Serving as an escalation point for team challenges
Driving continuous improvement and Agile best practices
All other tasks related to the position

Minimum requirements:

Tertiary qualification in software development, computer science, or engineering
Proven experience managing technical teams in software development
Strong technical background to support estimation, decisions, and recruitment
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Excellent leadership and collaboration skills
Experience in performance management or recruitment is an advantage
