Deputy CEO (Harare)

SUMMARY:
Our client, a high-turnover business in the FMCG sector seeks an experienced Deputy CEO to step into a succession role, with the aim of assuming full CEO responsibilities within 18-20 months. This role is ideal for an ambitious executive with deep, hands-on experience in managing complex business operations from start to finish.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Report directly to the Group CEO and lead the executive team across multiple functions, including Finance, Commercial, Live Production, Manufacturing, Risk & Audit, HR, QA & Compliance, and Logistics.
• Lead and mentor the executive team, with direct reports from all core business functions.
• Drive high-level strategic and operational initiatives across the business to optimize growth and efficiency.
• Oversee negotiations at the highest level, including engagements with key clients, stakeholders, and influential figures in the region.
• Gain in-depth knowledge of the technical and industry-specific aspects of the business to ensure smooth leadership transition.

• Citizenship: Must be a Zimbabwean citizen (either currently in Zimbabwe or willing to return).
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in executive leadership, with a proven track record in end-to-end business management.
• Education: A tertiary qualification is required.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with large-scale food production or similar industries is highly desirable
• Personal Attributes: Young, dynamic, and willing to embrace mentorship for growth in the industry.

• Base Salary: $20,000 USD per month
