A well established Retail client is looking for a Departmental Manager to join their dynamic team.
Role Overview:
As the Departmental Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing multiple departments, including Bakery, Deli, and Fruit & Veg. You will play a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency, meeting sales targets, and maintaining high standards of customer service. Your cross-departmental experience and FMCG food background will be essential in driving success and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Bakery, Deli, and Fruit & Veg departments, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Manage and support departmental managers, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement strategies to meet sales targets and operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and food quality standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize overall store performance and customer experience.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a fast-paced FMCG food environment.
- Proven track record of managing multiple departments or teams within the food industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience supervising a diverse group of managers.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and results-oriented environment.
