About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Demand Planner to ensure efficient procurement of materials and streamline production planning to meet customer demands. This role involves optimizing transport routing, managing inventory supply, and overseeing intercompany ordering. If you have strong analytical skills and experience in operations & logistics, we would like to meet you.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Ensure sufficient raw and packing materials are procured to meet expected production demand.
Ensure daily production planning to meet customer requirements and communicate shortages to relevant parties.
Demand Planning done accurately to ensure that correct product and packaging available for loading. Model stock Managed for Maize and Diverse stock.
Ensure all vehicles are optimally routed.
Provide a flexible, reliable and efficient transport, in and outbound delivery service by routing all requirements, through the routing program, factoring in all operational constraints and service level requirements
Managing and planning the inventory supply to meet customer demand
Transport routing to minimise route time or distance, whilst maximising vehicle fill and factoring in all operational constraints and service level requirements to achieve optimal utilization
Intercompany ordering on materials to be planned and executed in time.
Generating pick slips in time prior to loading for fast and effective turn-around time of vehicles.
Open communication to all stakeholders on requirements for the day.

Requirements

Grade 12 qualification
5+ years in operations & logistics in FOOD MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT
Advanced Excel skills
Supply Chain Qualifications
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective team management skills
Proactive and customer service-oriented
Drive for continuous improvement
Attention to detail and accuracy
