Debtors Controller

SUMMARY:
We have a position available in Cape Town for an experienced Debtors Controller.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

1. Grade 12
2. Accounting/Finance tertiary qualification
3. Accounts receivable courses
4. Advanced Excel
5. Sage experience
6. At least 4 years experience in a similar role

• Accurate and punctual billing of clients, substantiated by appropriate records.
• Client debt recovery and management.
• Prompt processing of credit notes.
• Daily reconciliation of payments and invoices.
• Effective and efficient resolution of client inquiries and disagreements.
• Creation of daily cash flow projections.
• New client account setup and credit limit adjustments.
• Submission of limit requests and claims.
• Generation of weekly and monthly outstanding balance reports.
• Monthly reconciliation of financial management system and Sage data.
• Month-end reporting
• Regular updates to Legal and Credit Application spreadsheets.
• Occasional billing for specific situations (e.g., recovery invoices).
• Handling of all client inquiries related to outstanding balances.
• Responding to auditor requests.
• Provide professional credit control service to the Finance department by organizing and managing credit functions.
• Ensure accurate and timely sales invoicing.
• Collect outstanding debts according to established credit policies and procedures.
• Verify proper processing and finalization of income and related expenses in the system, supported by valid documentation.
• Verify accruals.
• Provide customers with all necessary supporting documentation for sales transactions promptly.
• Recover claims in accordance with established policies and procedures
