POSITION INFO:

Deloitte Consulting is hiring for a Data Science Manager/Lead to join their Core Business Operations division on a contract until Dec 2025.

We need someone to manage a squad inside a team, performing data engineer work for a client in the Financial Services Industry. The candidate will be expected to take business requirements and complete a design with the help from tech team. They will need to create a work break down, and manage a squad of 2-3 developers.

NOTE: The role is applicable to Gauteng and Cape Town Applicants. Should you be successful, it will by Hybrid from the respective Deloitte office.

For the skills set the following would be non-negotiable:

Team leadership skills
Strong SQL (Cloudera / SAP HANA)
Warehousing competencies (Data Engineering) (ideally Data Vault / WhereScape database automation)
Strong technical experience
Solution Design experience

Nice to have:

Python – used for robot framework testing. The candidate would only need to be able to navigate the code and use git etc.
AWS Cloud skills
