Data Modeller

SUMMARY:
My client has an opportunity for a Data Modeller. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing data modelling solutions, which include, but are not limited to, the use of relational, dimensional, and NoSQL databases. Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from existing databases and SQL scripts.

POSITION INFO:

• Grade 12, BSc/Beng in Computer Science/Information Technology.
• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) Associate)
• A minimum of 5 to 8 years’ experience in data modelling.
• Extensive knowledge of best practices/methodologies in data warehousing and multi-dimensional data.
• Extensive knowledge and skill in the most common relational database management system (RDBMS) technologies (e.g. Oracle, IBM, SQL Server, and MySQL).
• Experience and skill in deploying and managing big data environments (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL).
• Experience in a variety of programming languages, including but not limited to Java and C#; and
• Experience in development, using a broad variety of integration techniques, patterns, tools, and methodologies.
• Enterprise information management (EIM) planning and reporting.
