Duties:

Gather data from various sources (e.g., databases, APIs, spreadsheets, surveys).
Analyse data to uncover patterns, trends, and insights.
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
Implement data quality checks and maintain documentation of data sources and methodologies.
Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, finance, operations) to understand business needs and objectives.
Identify inefficiencies in data processes and implement solutions to improve workflows.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track business metrics.
Stay up to date with new data analysis methods, tools, and industry trends.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Economics
Honour’s degree in data science, business analytics or relevant fields will be beneficial.
Relevant certifications can strengthen a candidate’s profile: Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Google Data Analytics Certificate, Tableau Desktop Specialist, SAS Certified Data Scientist, AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty

Experience:

3 - 5 Years of experience in data analytics and script development.
Proficiency in using analytics tools such as ACL, IDEA, or SQL.
Proficiency in tools like Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView for data visualization and reporting.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Results-oriented with a high drive to meet objectives and standards.
Ability to manage and resolve technical issues with data analytics tools.
Understanding of statistical concepts, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and predictive modelling.
Working effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, and finance.
