Duties:
- Gather data from various sources (e.g., databases, APIs, spreadsheets, surveys).
- Analyse data to uncover patterns, trends, and insights.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Implement data quality checks and maintain documentation of data sources and methodologies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, finance, operations) to understand business needs and objectives.
- Identify inefficiencies in data processes and implement solutions to improve workflows.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track business metrics.
- Stay up to date with new data analysis methods, tools, and industry trends.
Job Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications: - Matric (Grade 12)
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Economics
- Honour’s degree in data science, business analytics or relevant fields will be beneficial.
- Relevant certifications can strengthen a candidate’s profile: Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Google Data Analytics Certificate, Tableau Desktop Specialist, SAS Certified Data Scientist, AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty
Experience: - 3 - 5 Years of experience in data analytics and script development.
- Proficiency in using analytics tools such as ACL, IDEA, or SQL.
- Proficiency in tools like Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView for data visualization and reporting.
Skills & Competencies:- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Results-oriented with a high drive to meet objectives and standards.
- Ability to manage and resolve technical issues with data analytics tools.
- Understanding of statistical concepts, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and predictive modelling.
- Working effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, and finance.
