Data Analyst

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst with a strong accounting background to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and implementing innovative software solutions to enhance the accounting and tax reporting processes.
This role requires a blend of analytical skills, accounting knowledge, and a keen interest in technology and software development.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to support accounting and tax reporting.
• Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards to provide insights and support decision-making.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports.

• Continuously research and evaluate new software solutions and technologies that can improve accounting and tax reporting processes.
• Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement and integrate new software tools.
• Provide training and support to team members on new software applications.

• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting and tax reporting processes.
• Develop and implement best practices for data management and analysis.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented software solutions and make recommendations for improvements.

• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA) is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, with a strong accounting background.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R).
• Experience with accounting software (Xero) and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Familiarity with cloud-based accounting solutions and data management platforms.
• Understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in finance.
