- R32 000 – R35 000 kpm CTC includes: Med Aid + Provident Fund + Technician Incentive + Overtime (As per policy) + Standby Allowance + Call out fees etc

- Interested applicants MUST have specific industry experience within the Commercial Truck Dealership / Workshop Diesel Truck sectors to be considered.
- CVs should reflect dealership exposure and previous employment history in the industry.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on various commercial truck brands as per dealership and manufacturer standards
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems on heavy-duty trucks
- Ensure all repairs are completed efficiently and accurately to meet safety standards
- Service and repair diesel engines, transmissions, gearboxes, and related components
- Maintain accurate records of all completed work, including job cards, inspections, and workshop administration tasks
- Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify, evaluate, and fix faults in truck systems
- Perform scheduled services and preventative maintenance to minimise breakdowns
- Respond to callouts, breakdowns, and after-hour service requirements as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols and regulations within the workshop
- Collaborate with other technicians and dealership staff to achieve operational efficiency
- Maintain good communication with clients regarding vehicle status and repairs
- Keep up to date with latest technical knowledge on commercial truck models and systems
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Trade Tested Diesel (Truck) Technician / Mechanic
- Min 5 years ++ post trade test experience in a Truck Dealership / Commercial Truck Workshop
- MUST HAVE: Previous experience within a Truck Dealership / Commercial Truck Workshop industry/environment
- Experience with Popular Commercial Truck Brands (e.g. Hino, Fuso, Tata, Isuzu, Scania, Volvo, FAW, MAN, Mercedes, Powerstar, Iveco, Dongfeng, JMC, Hyundai, Nissan, Mitsubishi Fuso, Freightliner, Western Star, Ashok Leyland, Kenworth, Peterbilt, etc.)
- Mechanical truck skills and strong diagnostics and equipment experience
- Workshop administration skills
- Valid driver’s licence (Code 14 EC is an advantage)
- Own tools or willingness to purchase with company assistance available
- Prepared to work overtime, standby, call outs, and attend breakdowns as required
- Traceable and contactable references
- Ability to start immediately or as negotiated (Notice periods will be considered)
