SUMMARY:
Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is looking for an experienced and professional Injection Molding Designer to join their dynamic team. This role requires technical expertise in mold design, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to deliver high-quality designs under tight deadlines in Ottery, Western Cape

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design, or related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in injection moulding and blow moulding design or a similar role with necessary mould design, particularly within a Toolroom environment
Must have work experience in the manufacturing environment and able to design and develop moulds for rigid plastic product manufacturing
Strong understanding of mold design principles, plastic materials, and manufacturing processes
Ability to manage complete projects from concept to industrialization and design components as per birefs and advise on material choice and functionality
High level of planning and organizational skills with the ability to assist any hands-on requests is beneficial
Ability to collaborate closely with toolmakers during all phases of mould manufacturing
Manage various technical projects related to toolroom and production improvements w
Detail orientated with the ability to work under pressure
Proficiency in English and Afrikaans is beneficial
Valid drivers license and own transport is required
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD aand Solidworks is required for mold design
