Duties:

• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits to show potential threats and weaknesses in systems, networks, and applications.
• Evaluate the organization's current security posture and recommend improvements.
• Monitor emerging cybersecurity threats and adapt security measures accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Develop and maintain incident response plans to address security breaches effectively.
• Conduct post-incident analysis to improve future incident response capabilities.
• Collaborate with IT teams, business leaders, and third-party vendors to align security measures with organizational goals.
• Ensure that the organization follows relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Honours degree in related field would be beneficial.
• ISO 27001, NIST or COBIT certified.
• CompTIA Security+, CEH, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), CISSP, CISM, OSCP, GPEN, or CCSP.

• 3 – 7 Years of experience in cybersecurity, including hands-on experience in security audits, incident response, and threat analysis.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and securing cloud-based environments.

• Proficiency in languages like Python, PowerShell, Java, or C++ is often beneficial.
• Expertise in finding vulnerabilities and assessing threats through tools like Nessus, Metasploit, or Burp Suite.
• Explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and drafting comprehensive reports.
• Ensuring precision when analysing data, configuring systems, and conducting security tests.
