POSITION INFO:

My client, a leading and well-known Retailer based in Montague gardens requires a competent and experienced Credit Risk Analyst to join their team.

As a Credit Risk Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include leading the creation and implementation of credit risk reports, strategies, and both predictive and prescriptive models across our company''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''s consumer credit cycle. You should be deeply enthusiastic about data and technology, eager to advance your skills, and possess strong teamwork abilities.

In collaboration with our credit operations and sales departments, you will share accountability for achieving corporate objectives regarding project outcomes, quality, budgeting, and scheduling.

Your typical tasks will involve utilising sophisticated analytical methods to derive the utmost value from data, developing data-informed strategies, and delivering insights and detailed recommendations through presentations.

You will be based at our head office in Montagu Gardens, Cape Town.

Requirements:

· A numerical degree in statistics, operational research, computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related field.

· At least 2 years in consumer credit analytics in the retail sector.

· Experience Using Transunion, Experian Or Other Related Credit Bureaus.

· Fluent in English.

· Technical Skills:

- Analytical software: good working knowledge of Python.

- In-depth understanding of SQL.

- Working knowledge of SAS, R,

- Working knowledge of Power BI, Tableau

- A working knowledge of data science and machine learning techniques.

- A working knowledge of Predictive Modelling techniques.

- Data processing, validation, and manipulation skills.

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Scope of the role:

· Data processing, manipulation and validation.

· Development of analytical and data science models to analyse the credit life cycle

· Development of predictive models across the credit life cycle.

· Development of advanced analytical solutions to solve business growth problems for Full House as required.

· Compile professional reports and presentations for delivery to the Credit Risk Committee.

· Analyse reports and results and perform investigative analytics to solve problems.

· Provision model validation, testing and monitoring.

· Scorecard development, implementation and monitoring.

· Credit risk strategy development and monitoring.

· Collection Performance analysis and monitoring

· Develop close relationships with credit operations and sales to identify additional areas for development and assistance.

· Work closely with other contributors on joint projects, such as sales, marketing, data analytics, credit bureau and external consultants.
