Credit Manager: Collections

SUMMARY:
On the search for an experienced Collections Manager to join one of my rapidly growing clients in the IT space, based in the heart of Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

The company specializes in delivering affordable, high-quality broadband solutions with a focus on customer satisfaction and support. By utilizing advanced fibre technology, it aims to meet the increasing demand for robust and seamless internet connectivity. They are dedicated to providing fast, efficient, and reliable services to ensure optimal online experiences for its users nationwide.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Must have minimum 8 years’ experience in a similar role

• Must have Matric!
• Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Finance/Accounting - or similar.

• Oversee and manage the collections department, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding payments.
• Develop and implement effective collection strategies to meet company goals and reduce outstanding debt.
• Supervise, train, and support the collections team, providing guidance and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Monitor and review aging reports to identify overdue accounts and prioritize collection efforts.
• Communicate with clients via phone, email, or in person, to negotiate payment arrangements and resolve disputes.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of all collections activities and customer communications.
• Analyze financial statements and credit histories to assess risk and determine appropriate collection actions.
• Maintain relationships with key clients to ensure positive outcomes and preserve long-term business relationships.
• Prepare and present regular reports on collection activities, outstanding debts, and recovery progress to senior management.
