Credit Analyst (Agriculture) – Sandton, Johannesburg
A financial services company is looking for a Credit Analyst (Agriculture) to join their team in Sandton. The role involves assessing the creditworthiness of agricultural clients, managing deals through various stages, and ensuring compliance with credit policies and regulations.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze financial statements of agricultural businesses to assess profitability, liquidity, and leverage.
Research industry trends, including commodity prices and market conditions, to support credit decisions.
Conduct due diligence, including reviewing legal documents, site visits to farms, and gathering third-party insights.
Make recommendations on credit limits, terms, and conditions for agricultural financing.
Support legal processes and assess risks in transaction changes.
Contribute to credit-related projects and professional development.

Qualifications & Requirements:

BCom degree with Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics.
Postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
At least two years of experience in credit risk management (preferably in the agricultural sector).
Knowledge of the National Credit Act and agricultural financing principles.
