Job Title: Cost And Management Accountant 

Our client based in the Durban area is looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Cost and Management Accountant, ideally with a CIMA qualification, to join their team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring precise product costing, determining gross profit per stock item, and maintaining overall stock accuracy. This role demands an innovative individual who can design effective systems and drive continuous improvements in both financial and operational processes.

Requirements:

• Completed Finance qualification - CIMA qualification is preferable
• Proven experience in cost and management accounting, preferably in food industry
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to design and implement effective accounting and operational systems.
• Innovative thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems matrix ideally
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain accurate costing models for all products.
• Analyze gross profit margins per stock item and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Oversee and manage inventory costing, valuation, and stock reconciliation.
• Design and implement systems for improved costing, reporting, and performance tracking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and recommendations for operational efficiency.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and dashboards for management decision-making.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to ensure innovative approaches to cost and management accounting.
