SUMMARY:
An established manufacturing company in Alberton is seeking a Cost Accountant for a 2–3 month contract to support the finance team. This role will focus on reviewing Bills of Materials (BOM) in Syspro, ensuring accuracy and alignment with production requirements.

POSITION INFO:
The successful candidate will play a key role in streamlining costing processes, reducing errors, and alleviating pressure on the existing finance and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and verify the accuracy of BOMs in Syspro.
Identify discrepancies and implement corrections to improve cost accuracy.
Collaborate with production and procurement teams to ensure BOMs reflect actual material usage.
Assist in refining costing methodologies and improving reporting efficiency.
Provide insights to support management in decision-making.

Requirements:

Degree or Diploma in Cost Accounting or Finance.
Experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to costing and BOM analysis.
Expert in Syspro (essential).
Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

The salary is high negotiable based on qualifications, skills and experience.
