Cost Accountant - Cape Town

Role Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the financial aspects of our jeans manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for cost analysis, inventory valuation, and financial reporting to ensure profitability and efficiency in our production processes.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (CIMA, SAICA, or equivalent) preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or clothing
  industry.
• Strong knowledge of cost structures, inventory management, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (SAP, Sage, or similar).
• Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and analysis

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Understanding of industry trends, including fabric and production cost drivers.
