SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

The COST ACCOUNTANT will be responsible for developing robust costing processes to support high volume, manufacturing operations, for an established steel manufacturer and distributor in Gauteng, South Africa, which services the mining industry.

Responsibilities include:

Performing detailed analysis and allocation of manufacturing overhead costs.
Engaging in budget preparation and managing financial forecasting activities.
Ensuring the accuracy of inventory records and warehouse volumes.
Conducting sales gross profit (GP) analysis and PPV analysis.

Qualifications and Experience requirements:

Degree or National Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting or a related field.
CIMA progress preferred
Proven experience in a steel manufacturing environment or similar.
Experience with Syspro or similar ERP systems is desirable

This role will suit an ambitious Cost Accountant who enjoys being autonomous and adding value through excellent work. The role will form part of a team that values people and recognises their contributions.

This is a full time office based role in Germiston.
