SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking an experienced Estimating / Contracts Manager to join their dynamic infrustructure team. As a key leader in their pre-construction department, you will be responsible for overseeing the estimating function, ensuring accurate cost projections, and supporting the business in securing profitable projects. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in construction estimation and leadership experience.

Duties:
- Lead and manage the estimating team, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all tendering activities.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and overheads.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to determine project requirements.
- Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing information and negotiate costs.
- Develop and implement best practices and cost-control measures for estimating.
- Present estimates and tender submissions to senior management and stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, pricing, and innovations in construction methods.
- Mentor and train Junior Estimators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Requirements:- Civil or Quantity Surveying Degree
- Professional Registration
- Proven experience as an Estimating/ Contracts Manager or Senior Estimator within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, CostX, or similar tools).
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Relevant Degree or qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
