Contracts Engineer

SUMMARY:
Are you a seasoned Contracts Engineer with proven experience in mega raw bulk water infrastructure projects? Do you have a solid command of FIDIC contracts and professional registration as a Pr Eng or PrQS? If so, we want to hear from you!
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading infrastructure consultancy/client involved in one of the largest raw bulk water developments in the region. This is a critical role that will support the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects from a contracts and commercial management perspective.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage contracts based on FIDIC (Red, Yellow, and/or Silver Book), including claims, variations, and dispute resolution.
• Support the project management team with contractual advice and compliance oversight throughout project lifecycle.
• Assist in procurement strategy development and contractor engagement processes.
• Liaise with legal and commercial teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Prepare and review contract documentation, payment certificates, and change orders.
• Monitor contractor performance and support the resolution of contractual issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• Professional registration as Pr Eng (ECSA) or PrQS (SACQSP) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 15+ years of experience in contract engineering/management.
• Strong background in mega raw bulk water infrastructure projects is essential.
• Expert knowledge of FIDIC contract suites, particularly in the context of large-scale infrastructure works.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle high-value, complex contracts.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
