A medium-sized consulting engineering firm with offices in Pretoria, Cape Town, George and Durban, wants to extend its engineering team, and is seeking the following candidate: Location: Pretoria, South Africa Position: Consulting Electrical Engineer Requirement: ECSA Registered Professional Electrical Engineer

POSITION INFO:

• Lead and manage electrical design and project management within the building consulting services sector.
• Oversee projects from concept through to closeout, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
• Must have developed electrical designs and specifications for lightning, power, lightning protection systems, and PV installations.
• Prepare tender Bills of Quantities and manage the entire tender process.
• Utilize AutoCAD for schematic layouts of distribution boards and MCCs (Motor Control Centers).
• Write professional reports and maintain communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Conduct site, project, office, and technical meetings, keeping detailed minutes.
• Engage in marketing and business development activities to secure new projects.

• Qualification: BEng or BTech in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: At least 5 years of consulting services experience in the building sector.
• Design Skills: Hands-on experience in electrical design, including power and lighting systems.
• Project Management: Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams, technical staff, and financial aspects of projects.
• AutoCAD: Proficient in creating detailed schematics for electrical systems.
• Communication: Excellent writing and communication skills, including report writing and professional correspondence
