SUMMARY:
Our client in the Petrochemical industry is seeking to employ a Construction Manager (Electrical) to join their team. Please note that this is a (fixed term contract).
Location: Mpumalanga, Secunda.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage electrical projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to required quality standards.
• Coordinate and liaise with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met.
• Lead and manage project teams, providing clear direction and support.
• Plan, schedule and monitor project progress, including resource allocation, budget and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards and project specifications.
• Identify and mitigate risks to minimise delays and cost overruns.
• Prepare project reports, documentation and presentations for internal and client review.
• Provide technical expertise on switchgear replacement and other large electrical installations.

Experience & Qualification

• Trade Test Certification (Electrical) – essential.
• Driver’s license – valid and unendorsed.
• Proficiency in English (Afrikaans proficiency preferred)
• Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft word.
• Sasol project experience – highly advantageous.
• Extensive experience managing electrical projects in industrial or plant environments.
• Previous hands-on experience in switchgear replacements and large electrical installation.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience.
• Must have legal liability, construction regulation and must be registered with SACPCMP
