Configuration Analyst

SUMMARY:
A vacancy exists within a dynamic, forward thinking division of this market leader in the automotive sector.
Reporting to the IT Manager, the incumbent of this position will take full responsibility for providing 1st and 2nd line support to the business, including but not limited to requirements gathering and documentation, system training, system configuration and deployments. Formulating a solution from start to end and can implement the solution which meets the needs of the Business

POSITION INFO:
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Provide hands-on development and configuration skills with a Miles system
• Miles Level 1 and 2 Support
• Solve Incidents and fix system Defects
• System Changes – Small to Medium, consulting on Large ones with Europe
• Become a Miles Leasing expert for configuration and functional capabilities of Miles software including: Formula writing; scheduling; workflow; functional configuration; log interpretation; user administration; data query, extraction and upload; reporting.
• Provide 1st and 2nd level application support for functional and technical questions.
• Provide and document solutions which will be used in configuring the system
• Continuously improve upon the business experience and identify solutions to improve productivity and efficiencies.
• Ensure that systems are well maintained through the provision of application support
• Work with system partners to set priorities and execution sequence for enhancements and system support
• Daily monitoring of scheduled data and process batch jobs and reporting on the outcomes thereof
• Set up accounts and workstations for applications and technology tools
• Upgrade systems with new releases and models
• Expertise to train staff on new technologies
• Monitor performance and maintain systems health
• Able to assist in Training and testing of the solution with business

• Relevant (240 credit) degree and /or certifications in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3-5yrs experience in IT solution design, implementation, and deployment
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, programming languages, and database systems
• Proficiency in evaluating, selecting, and integrating software applications, platforms, and tools
• Experience in solution architecture, considering scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements
• Project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address business challenges
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at various levels
• Adoption and change management skills with technical abilities would be advantageous
