Overview:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Compliance & Ethics Manager to establish and lead the compliance function within a fast-growing renewable energy company. The role requires a self-starter who can develop and implement a comprehensive compliance strategy while ensuring adherence to regulatory and ethical standards across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a compliance and ethics framework tailored to the business.
• Conduct a gap analysis in the first 3–6 months to identify compliance needs and risks.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, particularly in the IPP and renewable energy sectors.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, and operational teams to integrate compliance measures.
• Advise on corporate governance, legal compliance, and ethical business practices.
• Build and scale the compliance function in line with the company’s rapid growth.
• Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 5+ years of experience in a compliance, legal, or regulatory role.
• Strong background in renewable energy, construction, or mining sectors.
• Proven ability to establish and lead a compliance function.
• Experience working in a corporate environment (not large multinational firms).
• Knowledge of IPP office requirements and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to work independently and drive compliance initiatives.

Location & Work Environment:

• Hybrid role, based in Gauteng.
• Flexible working arrangement with an in-office requirement.
