Compliance Officer

SUMMARY:
As a key member of the Compliance team, you will be at the forefront of ensuring business operates with unwavering ethical and legal standards

POSITION INFO:

🔍 What You’ll Do:
✅ FICA Compliance: Work closely with the Head of FICA Compliance to implement risk management and compliance requirements.
✅ AML & Risk Management: Serve as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), investigating suspicious activities and ensuring compliance with AML regulations.
✅ Regulatory Excellence: Stay ahead of evolving regulations, enhancing policies, and improving our Risk Management and Compliance Program (RMCP).
✅ Due Diligence: Conduct AML reviews for third-party entities, including offshore entities, and manage compliance documentation.
✅ Training & Awareness: Lead regulatory training sessions on FICA and other compliance topics to foster a culture of compliance.
✅ Monitoring & Reporting: Conduct compliance audits, track corrective actions, and prepare reports to ensure adherence to key regulations.
✅ Stakeholder Engagement: Provide expert guidance and support to internal teams on compliance-related matters.

🎯 What You Bring:
✔️ A legal degree with strong knowledge of FICA, AML regulations, and compliance best practices.
✔️ 5+ years of compliance experience in financial services (insurance industry preferred).
✔️ Ability to interpret legislation, conduct monitoring, and deliver compliance training.
✔️ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
✔️ Knowledge of relevant acts: Insurance Act, Long-Term Insurance Act, FAIS Act, and Pension Funds Act.
✔️ Familiarity with FATCA, CRS, and experience with diverse organizational structures (non-profits, SOEs, offshore entities).
✔️ CISA membership is a plus!
