POSITION INFO:
Job Title: Commercial Underwriters
Location: Bellville
Salary: Market related - Depending on qualifications and experience
Vacancy Type: Full-Time

Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:

Matric
RE5 and CPD Hours
Representative with the FSCA (DOFA required)
FAIS Compliant
5 to 10 years short term insurance underwriting experience in Commercial Lines at a brokerage
Sound knowledge of various short term products and policies (Commercial, Agri, Engineering, Marine)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluent in English and Afrikaans)
Must be able to work well under pressure

Experience using:
- Flexi
- Cardinal (CIMS360)

Beneficial requirements:

PC Literacy / Microsoft Office
Attention to Detail

Duties and responsibilities:
The candidates should have a passion for client services, excel in attention to detail and aim to exceed expectations. Team players are required who can operate well under pressure and embrace Treating Customers Fairly principles.

Overall underwriting processes (quotations, new business, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, unpaids/age analysis)
Ensure documentation is processed accurately and correctly
Timeous attendance to internal and external queries
General administration and service delivery to Accounts Executives to enable them to render excellent service to our clients
Retention and Growth of client base
