Code 10 Driver Copperworks

POSITION INFO:

The SA Metal Group requires a committed, cautious and motivated individual to join their Copperworks team as a Code 10 driver. The successful candidate will report to the Marketing and Sales Manager.

The Transport Division requires a Code 10 Driver who will be responsible for driving the Copperworks truck. Tasks include, amongst others:

• Delivery of ordered products to Customers in a safe, courteous and timely manner
• Establish and maintain positive relations with customers
• Daily inspection of the vehicle and to report all faults
• Preparing, loading and offloading the delivery vehicle whilst meeting delivery deadlines
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, store personnel and other team members
• Complete all paperwork and submit reports relating to deliveries
• Assisting with general store work when required
• Ensure adherence to the Road Traffic Act
• Abide by the regulations as set out in Occupational Health and Safety Act, company policies and the regulations of the road
• Navigate your way around Gauteng and surrounding areas

QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE

• A minimum Grade 12 certificate
• Valid, unendorsed Code 10 license with valid PDP
• 3 years code 10 driving experience
• Experience driving vehicles with manual gearboxes
