Code 10 Driver

Permanent Position - R7000 - R9000 + Provident Fund

A Code 10 Driver is currently sought after by a well-established retail marketing company, located in Atlas Gardens, Cape Town.

We are looking for a reliable, hard-working individual with integrity who is willing to travel long distances and join our team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Transportation of Goods: Safely transport goods, products, or passengers to designated destinations.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure that the vehicle is regularly checked for maintenance and proper functioning, reporting any issues or repairs needed.
• Adherence to Traffic Laws: Follow all road safety and traffic regulations to ensure safe driving practices.
• Loading and Unloading: Assist with the loading and unloading of goods or products, ensuring they are secured properly during transport.
• Route Planning: Plan and follow efficient routes, using GPS or maps to avoid delays and deliver on time.
• Record Keeping: Maintain delivery logs, vehicle inspection records, and any other necessary documentation.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring goods or passengers are delivered in a courteous and professional manner.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all legal and company regulations, including health and safety standards.

Required Skills:

• Valid Code 10 Driver's License (with PDP, if required).
• Good knowledge of road safety and traffic laws.
• Ability to drive a variety of vehicles (light trucks, delivery vehicles).
• Strong communication skills.
• Physically fit to handle the loading and unloading of goods.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

• Previous experience as a Code 10 driver or in a similar role.
• Familiarity with GPS systems or map reading for efficient route planning.
