POSITION INFO:
Essential Skills Requirements:
- Analytical Expertise: Highly skilled in cloud database engineering.
- Migration Experience: Critical role in migrating on-prem workloads to OCI, Azure, and AWS platforms.
- Design & Implementation: Ability to design and implement cloud-based database solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve database-related issues.
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
- Oracle Database Expertise: Experience with Oracle database architecture, automation, and performance tuning.
- Cloud Architecture Knowledge: Expert knowledge of cloud architectures, especially databases.
- OCI Experience: Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, autonomous database on shared and dedicated infrastructure, and provisioning/supporting OCI resources.
- PostgreSQL Knowledge: Optional but beneficial in a cloud environment.
- ITIL Knowledge: ITIL process knowledge and work experience.
- Experience: At least 5 years of practical experience in Oracle database administration or development.
- Language: Fluent business English.
Advantageous Skills Requirements:
- Agile Methods: Experience with Scrum, Kanban.
- Language Proficiency: Additional European languages are a plus.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Design & Implement Solutions: Create cloud-based database solutions tailored to business needs.
- Develop Migration Plans: Develop and maintain comprehensive database migration plans.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams to identify and resolve database-related issues.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure database systems are secure, reliable, and compliant with industry standards.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain thorough documentation for all database systems and processes.
