SUMMARY:
The objective of the Multi Modal Controller is to achieve customer retention and support new business activities through regular client interventions, and general networking efforts, whilst supporting operations with practical information and guidance to improve customer satisfaction.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

South African Citizen.
Code B driver's license and own transport.
Willing to work overtime and be available after business hours.

Qualifications & Experience:

Senior Certificate (NQF 4)
3 - 5 Years work-related skills and experience in the Clearing & Forwarding and/ or supply chain industry.
3 -5 Years minimum experience in a Clearing & Forwarding operational role.
Experience in dealing with shipping lines, co-loaders and transporters will be beneficial.
Ship Shape knowledge will be beneficial.

Capabilities & Competencies:

Knowledge and understanding of the Clearing & Forwarding industry, including full supply chain, import and export process flows.
Proven track record of end-to-end process execution.
Ability to coordinate freight movement of import or export cargo through the international transport chain in terms of the client’s requirements.
Sound ShipShape knowledge.
Coordinate customs clearance of bond store.
Arrange insurance cover and process shipment claims.
Excellent problem analysis and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Knowledge of pricing principles and methodology.
Understands and applies commercial and financial principles to improve company performance.
Compile status reports – summarise the transport schedule and any new updates.
