JOB TITLE: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER: PRASA RAIL
SALARY GROUP: EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT
LOCATION: PRASA RAIL HEAD OFFICE, UMJANTSHI HOUSE, BRAAMFONTEIN
REFERENCE: R&S/CEOPR/PRHO/009
MISSION: To lead and direct the Rail Operations Division of PRASA.

POSITION INFO:
MISSION: To lead and direct the Rail Operations Division of PRASA.
KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS (KPAs):
- Develop, implement, and monitor the PRASA Rail strategy
- Provision of
direction and oversight over the Division’s operations
- Direct and oversee corporate governance, compliance and risk
management
- Management of resources
- Reporting and advisory services.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Applicable regulatory framework which governs Rail Operations
- SA legislative framework (BCEA, LRA,
PFMA)
- Corporate governance, supply chain, human resource management, risk management principles
- Business

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Postgraduate qualification in Engineering/Transport Management/Business
Administration/ Transport Economics (NQF9)

EXPERIENCE:
-15 years’ experience in the Rail environment of which a minimum of 5 years should be at an executive
management level.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- 24/7 availability
- Extended working hour
- Travel – locally and international
ADDED ADVANTAGE: membership with relevant body.
