SUMMARY:
Seeking a Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to Lead Risk Strategy for a Growing African Bank in Namibia.

POSITION INFO:
Our client is seeking an experienced Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to join a rapidly expanding African bank in Namibia. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned risk professional, with a strong background in credit risk management, to drive risk strategy and governance in a dynamic financial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

â Develop & Implement Risk Frameworks – Lead the creation and execution of risk policies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
â Strategic Risk Advisory – Provide expert insights to senior management, influencing key decision-making processes.
â Credit & Market Risk Oversight – Ensure robust risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and compliance with regulatory standards.
â Risk Integration – Embed risk management best practices across business operations, to support sustainable growth.
â Regulatory Compliance – Maintain strong knowledge of local regulations and ensure adherence to international risk management standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

â 7+ years of risk management experience, with a strong emphasis on credit risk.
â Expertise in risk analysis, strategic planning, and financial risk assessment.
â Degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or a related field (CFA, FRM, or equivalent preferred).
â Strong understanding of financial products, credit evaluation, and emerging market risks.
â Experience in a senior leadership role within a global or high-growth financial institution.
â Familiarity with Namibian financial regulations and experience in emerging markets is a plus.
