About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to lead the commercial and revenue strategy for a fast-growing renewable energy company. This company is pioneering private wheeling, delivering innovative solar, wind, and battery energy storage solutions to businesses.
As CRO, you will be responsible for scaling and optimizing revenue operations across sales, marketing, and customer success, ensuring structured, process-driven growth. You will build a high-performance national sales team, implement cutting-edge sales automation tools, and drive strategic deal-making in a rapidly evolving energy market.
By 2026, the sales team is expected to expand to 15–20 people, and the CRO will play a pivotal role in ensuring predictable revenue growth, optimizing sales resources, and aligning energy portfolio availability with customer demand.
Key Responsibilities 1. Revenue Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute a scalable revenue strategy aligned with the company's energy supply growth.
- Design and implement best-in-class sales processes to achieve predictable growth.
- Align sales, marketing, and customer success to enhance revenue operations and customer journey management.
- Own and manage revenue performance metrics, forecasting models, and budget alignment.
- Establish and enforce governance structures to ensure sales team accountability and performance visibility.
2. Sales & Sales Operations Management
- Lead and scale a national sales team (15–20 people by 2026), driving revenue targets.
- Implement CRM systems, sales automation tools, and data analytics frameworks to optimize efficiency.
- Foster a data-driven sales culture with clear KPIs, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Lead deal structuring, contract negotiations, and execution of bankable energy supply agreements.
- Prepare and present investment-ready energy supply agreements to executive committees.
- Optimize account management strategies to maximize high-value transactions and client penetration.
3. Marketing & Lead Generation
- Align marketing strategies with revenue goals, ensuring high ROI on marketing spend.
- Oversee customer segmentation and develop targeted outreach strategies.
- Implement Account-Based Marketing (ABM) to enhance engagement and conversion rates.
- Strengthen brand positioning to establish market leadership in the renewable energy sector.
4. Commercial & Ecosystem Leadership
- Oversee key partnerships and commercial strategy to drive business growth.
- Provide strategic input into pricing, deal structuring, and financial modeling.
- Work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and portfolio management teams to ensure sales execution aligns with the broader business strategy.
Requirements
? Proven experience scaling and managing large B2B sales organizations.
? Track record of implementing repeatable revenue processes and forecasting models.
? Strong background in negotiating and closing high-value, complex B2B deals.
? Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or trading environments is highly advantageous.
? Expertise in CRM tools (e.g., Monday.com), analytics platforms, and sales automation technologies.
? Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and ambiguous market environments.
? Deep understanding of integrating sales, marketing, and customer experience to drive revenue growth.
