POSITION INFO:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our executive team and lead our company's operational strategy and execution. The COO will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, optimizing efficiency, and supporting the achievement of our strategic objectives.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY.

Strategic Leadership:

• Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement the company's strategic vision and goals.
• Provide strategic direction and guidance to department heads and managers to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Operational Management:

• Oversee all aspects of the company's day-to-day operations, including production, sales, marketing, finance, human resources, and supply chain management.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.

Process Optimization:

• Identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement within existing processes and procedures.
• Develop and implement strategies to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.

Financial Management:

• Work closely with the CFO to develop and manage the company's budget and financial plans.
• Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to improve profitability and cash flow.

Risk Management:

• Assess and manage risks related to the company's operations, including financial, operational, legal, and regulatory risks.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect the company's assets and reputation.

Leadership and Team Development:

• Provide strong leadership and mentorship to department heads and managers.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Stakeholder Relations:

• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, partners, investors, and regulatory agencies.
• Represent the company in meetings, negotiations, and public events.

Technology and Innovation:

• Stay informed about technological advancements and industry trends.
• Lead initiatives to leverage technology and innovation to drive business growth and competitive advantage.

Compliance and Ethics:

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Promote a culture of ethics, integrity, and corporate responsibility throughout the organization.
• Measures effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes both internally and externally and find ways to improve processes.
• With respect to all operational matters, ensures effective communications.

EDUCATION, LANGUAGE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 10 years of executive leadership experience in engineering and construction, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving results.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead teams through change.
• Sound financial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial performance.
• Strong strategic planning and decision-making skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Commitment to ethical business practices and corporate responsibility.
