SUMMARY:
DBN000045 – Chief Operating Officer – KZN North Coast

Purpose of the job:
To successfully manage the company’s day to day operational functions in a fast paced environment.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degreen in Supply chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field (Master’s Degree Preferred)
10+ Years experience in Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Clearing or Supply Chain Management
Extensive knowledge of: Customs regulations, trade compliance & freight management
Strong understanding of International & Domestic shipping regulations

POSITION INFO:
Technical Competencies and responsibilities

Manage & oversee all operational aspects of the business including freight forwarding, customs clearance, warehousing & distribution
Lead & mentor a team of operational managers
Manage staff KPI’s
Develop & enforce operational policies, procedures & best practices
Maintain compliance with all relevant local & international logistics regulations
Oversee risk management & implement measures to mitigate operational challenges
Evaluate & integrate new technologies to enhance supply chain & logistics capabilities
