Purpose of the Job:
The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) will lead investment strategy, portfolio performance, and capital-raising efforts, working closely with the CEO, board, and senior leadership to ensure financial growth and sustainability.
 
Required Qualifications:

1. Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent; MBA is advantageous
2. 10+ years of experience in CFO/CIO roles.
3. Strong finance, accounting, and investment expertise.
4. Proven success in capital raising and investor relations.
5. Experience in Southern & Eastern Africa, preferably within the Agricultural sector

1. Lead capital-raising efforts, engage with investors, and oversee financial due diligence and deal closures.
2. Develop and execute financial strategies, ensuring long-term sustainability and alignment with business objectives.
3. Identify, assess, and analyse potential investment opportunities to support business expansion and growth.
4. Drive pricing strategies, manage cash flows, and oversee cost structures to maximize returns.
5. Ensure financial governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management across all investments.
6. Strategically allocate financial resources to optimize business performance and investment growth.
7. Track financial performance, prepare reports, and provide insights to improve operational efficiency.
8. Present financial data, investment analysis, and strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board.
