Chartered Accountant

We are looking for an out of the box thinking CA(SA) to take on more than just your standard accounting function. This role will extend to treasury, forex, operations and strategy as well. POSITION INFO:

Oversee accurate financial reporting, progressively assuming full responsibility from leadership
Assist in preparing reports for board meetings, audits, and regulatory submissions
Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and standards
Aid in cash flow forecasting and liquidity management, gradually taking on more operational responsibilities from the CFO
Help optimize working capital to maximize cash utilization and manage liquidity risks
Analyze profit margins, pricing strategies, and cost efficiency
Identify opportunities to reduce procurement, logistics, and financing expenses
Collaborate with procurement teams to negotiate supplier payment terms and enhance cost controls
Assist in implementing hedging strategies and managing forex risk
Track market trends and currency fluctuations, offering insights to inform strategic decisions
Develop financial models, forecasts, and strategic analyses to support business growth
Assist in budgeting, financial planning, and evaluating profitability
Partner with the CFO to assess investment opportunities and financing options
Support the implementation and optimization of ERP systems for financial operations
Ensure the integrity of financial data and streamline processes for greater efficiency
Assist the CFO in preparing financial presentations for investors, banks, and stakeholders
Provide financial insights to facilitate joint ventures, partnerships, and business growth strategies

Skills & Experience:
CA(SA)
Minimum of 5 years of financial experience post articles
Strong understanding of treasury, forex and cash flow management
Commodities or energy industry experience is highly beneficial
