Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, and the management of financial risks.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS.
• Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the business, such as evaluation of potential alliances, investments, and asset acquisition.
• Support the company's asset development and production initiatives by conducting thorough financial analysis and due diligence on potential mining assets.
• Collaborate with investment teams to assess financial viability and provide expert advice on investment opportunities within the commodities market.
• Lead the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Provide advisory and support services to trading partners, leveraging expertise to enhance their financial performance.

Requirements:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with a recognized professional body.
• A minimum of [Insert Years] years of experience in a financial management role, preferably within the commodities trading or mining sector.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and relevant financial regulations.
• Proven track record in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.

Location: Cape Town CBD office based

Salary: Market related, depending on experience.
