CONTRACT POSITION: MECHANICAL ENGINEER (Plant/Manufacturing) - BOSKOP, POTCHEFSTROOM

POSITION INFO:
DIVISION: PLANT ENGINEERING
LOCATION: BOSKOP, POTCHEFSTROOM

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The engineer is required to design, develop, and oversee the manufacturing and
implementation of solutions for ammunition manufacturing facilities.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

1. Develop
   • Develop innovative solutions for ammunition manufacturing facilities in cooperation with team members of different engineering disciplines.
   • Do research and development to ensure the implementation of the latest technologies during the development processes.
2. Design
   • Mechanical designs from the concept phase up to and including detailed designs and drawings for
   • Execute design
   • Plan and prepare plant layout and inputs for civil
   • Ensure designs comply with legal and explosive regulatory
   • Take design responsibility at the facility
   • Ensure design progress is on schedule and within
   • Generate necessary facility and equipment
3. Build
   • Oversee and guide internal and external fabrication entities to fabricate and construct the facilities or equipment.

4. Testing
   • Plan and conduct tests and evaluations to verify the equipment and system

1. Qualification
   • Eng or B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering or higher
2. Applicable Experience
   • 3 – 5 years working experience in mechanical design related to a plant and equipment environment (experience in explosives or ammunition environment is desirable).
   • Proficient in the use of SolidWorks and or similar 3D
   • Valid passport with willingness and availability to travel domestically and internationally as required
   • Clear criminal record
