SUMMARY:
The content specialist will develop, create and edit content for print, digital media, or products.

POSITION INFO:

Your:

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communication Science or related field.

Experience Required
- Minimum 7 years’ experience and 3 years’ experience in the financial services industry.

Language Requirements
- Excellent business communication skills enabling verbal and written communication, in English and Afrikaans, at all levels.

Knowledge
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel;
- Familiarity with keyword placement and SEO.

will enable you to fulfill the following duties:

Processes
- Writing and editing case studies, speeches, articles, annual reports, flyers, newsletters, brochures, blogs, banners, etc.;
- Creating concise, eye-catching, and innovative headlines and body copy;
- Proofread, edit and translate newsletters before publication;
- Promote content on social media;
- Manage content and update website content as needed;
- Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic;
- Arrange company comments and releases on newsworthy happenings;
- Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles;
- Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone);
- Interviewing sources;
- Consistently brainstorming and collaborating with team for new ideas and strategies;
- Researching markets and industries to compare and create content that is innovative and original;
- Maintaining and updating information on the organisation's website;
- Managing and updating information and engaging with users on social media sites.
People
- Communicate with others in ways that are clear, concise and understandable;
- Successfully work with a wide range of people at varying levels of organisation;
- Initiate and develop business relationships in a positive way;
- Demonstrate ease in relating to a diverse range of people of varying backgrounds, age, experience and education level.
Technology
- Use firm databases, technology and software applications to provide the required support of marketing and proposal requests;
- Knowledge of digital marketing tactics, including SEO, email marketing and web analytic.
