CNC Operator– Log Slitter (Temp to Perm Position)

SUMMARY:
CNC Operator are responsible for Setting and operating CNC Log Slitter machines, which use a series of rollers and blades to cut large rolls of Foam into smaller rolls

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric
• A minimum of at least 3 years working experience as a Log-Slitter
• Machine Operator or CNC Operator

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performing safety checks on equipment to ensure that it is
  functioning properly before production begins.
• Inspecting slitting machinery for defects.
• Reading Picking Slip Instructions to determine the Strip sizes that
  will be produced by a run and adjusting settings accordingly.
• Monitoring equipment operation to ensure that it continues to run
  smoothly, efficiently, and safely.
• Setting the Machine for different materials and sizes.
• Program required sizes and settings.
• Set Blade Diameter and Parameters
• 5S and H & S rules and Policies
