C&I Construction Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client, operating within the mining industry seeks a C&I Construction Manager to oversee multiple Control & Instrumentation (C&I) and Fire Detection/Suppression projects at Smelters. The role involves control software upgrades, hardware replacements, and system upgrades (Profi-bus/Asi to Profi-net).

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Matric (Maths & Science) + Engineering Trade/Diploma/Degree in Construction Management.
• 5+ years’ experience in Construction Management (Mining/Processing).
• Strong MS Office & MS Projects skills.
• Valid driver’s license & own vehicle.
• Technical & Leadership Skills in project execution, work delegation, and commercial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project initiation, planning, execution, and close-out per SIB guidelines.
• Oversee fabrication, construction, and commissioning within scope, time, and cost.
• Conduct risk assessments, quality inspections, and contract management (NEC, AP42, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with SHE requirements and the Mine Health & Safety Act.
