POSITION INFO:
My client, a key player in the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking a Buyer/Planner to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in international procurement, controlled substances, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement and planning of pharmaceutical finished goods, ensuring optimal stock levels and supply chain efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers while ensuring compliance with global trade regulations.
- Oversee purchasing activities for controlled substances, adhering to strict regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand, analyze inventory trends, and optimize supply chain processes.
- Monitor supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and resolve supply chain disruptions effectively.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation for procurement, including purchase orders, supplier agreements, and compliance records.
- Work closely with logistics and regulatory teams to ensure seamless import processes.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field.
- CIPS qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a Buyer/Planner role within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience handling international suppliers and finished goods in a global supply chain.
- Exposure to controlled substances procurement and regulatory compliance.
- Solid understanding of inventory management practices and ERP systems.
Reporting Line:
This role reports to the
Head of Supply Chain & Procurement.
