Job Description:

Are you a skilled procurement professional with a keen eye for quality and cost-efficiency? We are looking for a motivated Buyer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in sourcing top-notch products for our innovative FMCG company.

Location: Montague Gardens, Cape Town

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, from sourcing and selecting suppliers to negotiating contracts and placing orders.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales and production, to understand product needs and optimize inventory levels.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration and drive value for the company.
• Monitor stock levels and forecast future purchasing needs to minimize shortages and excess inventory.
• Conduct regular market research to identify new suppliers and opportunities for cost savings

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
